The lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), also known as bee balm, belongs to the family of mint and lemon smell. It owes its name to the bees because it is an ideal place to look for food, thanks to the high content of plant nectar. Pliny and Dioscorides wrote that closes wounds. In the Middle Ages alchemists said that Melissa used to make elixirs of youth and considered a stimulant, tonic, soothing.
Use:
As a decoction: Boil a spoonful of leaves and flowers in a glass 2-3. Drink three cups a day.
As infusion: 3 teaspoons of flowering tops in 1 cup of water at room temperature or warm. Allow 10. Drink 2-3 cups a day.
