The name derives from the Achilles, when wounded by the spear of Paris, the goddess Venus advised him to tie the wound with this plant to relieve. Dioscurides used it for hemostatic and soldiers of the First World War as a first aid to their wounds.
Use:
As beverage: one teaspoon thee pot 25-30 grams in one liter of boiling for 10 minutes. We should drink 3 cups a day for long enough to be effective as an anticonvulsant. The same decoction is used for skin washes and compresses. As infusion: One part of Achillea in 10 parts of boiled water for 15 minutes or 2 teaspoons in a cup of water for 10 minutes.
